Watching "For the Coyotes" reminded me that, years ago, I told my son that I'd like my body disposed of in the ocean where it would be devoured by sharks. I verified this recollection with him (in NY), and he did recall the conversation. In fact, he said he'd like that for himself. But, as was stated in the film, such a wish presents complications.
As for my actual death, I fantasize dying in my own bed. With music, wine. my son present with me. No pain, no drama.
That is all.

Nice death Katherine thank you for sharing. As I watched For the Coyotes, I was smiling as the father described what he wanted. My 'perfect' death would be to die as consciously as possible and to have my body given to the tigers and lions in our zoo. Of course this is just fantasy as it would never happen in this century.
In reality, I have donated my body to science, my family knows this. Once again I would like to die consciously, with my friend chanting, he is a Tibetan monk, I want quiet and if family and friends want to hold my hand they can but during the active dying stage I do not want to be touched. If in pain I will accept painkillers but preferably no sedation.
